Complaints

  1. A person may make a complaint to the Registrar regarding the conduct or actions of a member.

  2. A complaint shall be in writing and shall include the complainant’s name and mailing address, and:

    • Name of the registrant
    • Registrant’s business name
    • Registrant’s business address and telephone number
    • The time and date of the incident(s)
    • A detailed account of the incident(s)
    • Any supporting documentation
    • Names of any potential witnesses
  3. Where a complaint is filed with the Registrar, the Registrar shall refer the complaint to the OANB Council, if the conduct or actions complained of may constitute professional misconduct, incompetence, or incapacity. - NB Optician’s Act
