Complaints

A person may make a complaint to the Registrar regarding the conduct or actions of a member.

A complaint shall be in writing and shall include the complainant’s name and mailing address, and:
- Name of the registrant
- Registrant’s business name
- Registrant’s business address and telephone number
- The time and date of the incident(s)
- A detailed account of the incident(s)
- Any supporting documentation
- Names of any potential witnesses

Where a complaint is filed with the Registrar, the Registrar shall refer the complaint to the OANB Council, if the conduct or actions complained of may constitute professional misconduct, incompetence, or incapacity. - NB Optician’s Act
